Watercolor Basics

First, I will guide the class through learning the main 9 techniques of watercolor: Dry Brush, Wet on Wet, Wet on Dry, Flat Wash, Glazing, Pulling Color, Blooming, Graded Wash, and Lifting.

Next, I will take the class through painting an abstract piece, incorporating all the techniques learned.

I'll then show the class how to use the techniques to create a more realistic piece.

Finally, for the last bit of class, everyone will have time to do paint on their own while I look on and continue to help with any questions.

Supplies Needed for Each Person: 6 pieces of 8.5"x11" watercolor paper Watercolor paints, basic colors, preferably tubes Round brush, medium to large Flat brush, medium to large
